Frappe, Latte, Mocha, Kaapi...
From intending to having a cup of coffee with 2 fellow bloggers - Prabhu and Sowmya - it snowballed into something like a mini-bloggers meet of sorts! A couple of requests over the phone and email and voila....lots were done!
I must say a big sorry to Krishna Kumar for screwing up in not calling him well in time for the meet.
"See you next time, guys" to Karthik L.G, Mohan, Van, Karpagam, Sowmya and Anita.
Best of all, a big thanks:
To Prabhu - I won't forget the awesome pleasure we shared watching the Ferrari model rip on the Forum parking lot tarmac!
To Madhu - certainly envy your courage to strike it out on your own in an area that appeals to me tremendously - "cooking" !
To Suman - what an astounding moment it was for me to know that we share the same reason for blogging! Even as it appears, oh-so-far-fetched!!
To Prabha - for helping get Deepak over to the meet and for your shy and warm smile(s)!
To Ram - for soldiering on with worthy cause(s) like helping children-in-difficult-circumstances, getting corporates to accept & add to their social responsibilities, using sport for development and peace etc! More power to you, good sir!
To Deepak - for your company & provoking debate with a couple of issues.
To Lalith - for your presence and all the hearty laughs that Madhu & Suman generated using your comments/observations ( "patriotic c......" / 'rear ....' etc )
Here are the related snaps:

Its an experience that is best seen to be believed!! Steering, nay, racing an amazingly fast model Ferrari with digital precision and breathtaking speed! I don't think Prabhu would have slept that night reliving that experience, time and over again!

From left to right : Prabhu, Ram, myself, Madhu, Suman, Lalith & Prabha.
Missing but photo is courtesy by Deepak...ok, Dheepak Ra! ;)

Coffee Art!

I think this mosaic best explains what a blog meet is all about - having a cup of coffee, spending some time with friends - new and old! What's psychology got to do with it?

Welcome Thennavan...those are bloggers whom I was able to request to meet up...I'm sure there are more bloggers in Bangalore who I do not know of. Yeah, I guess meeting in the US does pose a problem.....Ravi

Ravi, it is good to see all you Bangalore Bloggers out there. Only problem for us US folks here is the time and distance between cities :-)
 | | | Ravi May 3, 2005 05:22 PM PDT
No need to, Reflex! Say when and you can join us for coffee in Chennai! :)

Hi Dheepak...i meant all snaps during the meet, buddy! You know, in the coffee joint??? Nevermind!!Grrrr on these technicalities ... LOL! Wow on the NRN vs. NM bit! Anyway, did you know I've named my younger kiddo NM too? ;)
 | | | Dheepak Ra May 3, 2005 04:55 PM PDT
"all pics, for that matter" - Not exactly true. I didnt shoot the Ferrari snap. I will definitely say "hi" on your behalf to NRN (insiders never call him as NM). Unfortunately I am too busy (in blogging) right now ;-)

No problem, Kaps! That person is the owner of the car showroom...we

 | | | Ravi May 3, 2005 03:43 PM PDT
Hi K! No problem..maybe next time? It is an irony considering that meeting people seems to me like the core function of writers/ journalists? Do correct me if I'm wrong! :)
| |
 | | | Ravi May 3, 2005 03:35 PM PDT
No issues, Suman! Thanks again for obliging my request to attend! :)
 | | | Kaps May 3, 2005 02:34 PM PDT
Mr. travelling Blogger,

 | | | Name May 3, 2005 01:50 PM PDT
Hey Ravi sorry about not having made it to the meet. I was a little apprehensive, cos im not a social animal and the only person i could say i know was you....I do socialise but i have social phobia. Hows that for an irony?????!!!!!!!
 | | | suman May 3, 2005 12:59 PM PDT
Thanks Ravi. I was waiting for one of you to write about it. I didn't as I did not recall all names. Sorry, I am very forgetful.
 | | | Ravi May 3, 2005 11:29 AM PDT
Yup, we did have fun and laughs too, Anita. We missed you and hope to catch up next time? :)

 | | | Ravi May 3, 2005 11:27 AM PDT
Woo hoo, Gowri....is that what one would call "service with a heartfelt touch" ?? :)
 | | | Ravi May 3, 2005 11:25 AM PDT
Dheepak,
You are smart! *Ravi bows* No wonder you are where you are! Did you say Hi to N.M on my behalf?
;) | |
 | | | Ravi May 3, 2005 11:24 AM PDT
Hi Prabha...thanks! And keep those smiles coming on, you hear? :) :) :)
 | | | Ravi May 3, 2005 11:23 AM PDT
Ferrari, danks! Simbly buy it! Get it over to Chennai when you come over! Let me give it a wheelie too, you hear? :)
 | | | Ravi May 3, 2005 11:22 AM PDT
Well, Sangeetha, that ( all pics, for that matter) are courtesy Dheepak Ra! Come down to Chennai and we can catch up! :)
 | | | Ravi May 3, 2005 11:21 AM PDT
Yeah, Shyam....Madhu has a great sense of humour and one that he uses to devastating effect with witty repartees, one-liners and puns! Much of it is said softly and if you are not sitting next to him, you'll never catch it!! Your next visit, lets all meet up and share a coffee! :)
 | | | anita May 3, 2005 10:53 AM PDT

I was very much looking forward to the meet, but happened to see the voice mail only at around 7:00 pm. :( But there's always a next time Ravi!
Nice to see the meet going off really well.
 | | | Gowri May 2, 2005 10:22 PM PDT
:(( Coffee art and all....me missing Bangalore more than ever!
One guy would unfailingly draw a 'heart' in our cappuccino everytime my hubby and I ordered one. :)
 | | | Dheepak Ra May 2, 2005 09:17 PM PDT
It was short, sweet and crisp. Exactly the reason why I left the write up to folks like you and restricted my post to just snaps which I shot.

 | | | Prabha May 2, 2005 08:16 PM PDT

Short and sweet summary :-) And yes, I really am dying to buy that model. Am planning to goto that shop once a week and play around with that toy :-)
 | | | Shyam May 2, 2005 06:32 PM PDT
Looks like I'm gonna keep missing interesting blogger meets :-( Ravi, I admire Madhu's site greatly - he writes really well.. very articulate and funny, and fantastic sounding recipes. Wish I could've met him too! And of course you and all the others, bar Prabhu, whom I've luckily met already :)
